Enhancement Cultures and Future Bodies at 4s/EASST Conference Barcelona

Together with Christopher Coenen & Martin Sand (Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) I will organize the Track “Enhancement Cultures and Future Bodies” at the 4s/EASST Conference held in Barcelona August 31-September 3, 2016.

Within this track, we will focus on practices or visions of body modification in different cultural settings, shedding light on heterogeneous ways in which bodies may be (per)formed now and in the future. This can include but does not need to be limited to so-called ‘human enhancement’.
