Melike Şahinol has co-initiated the founding of the network STS TURKEY, which is co-founded by Dr. Arsev Aydinoglu and Asst. Prof. Dr. Harun Kaygan (both METU, Ankara). The founding meeting was held on the 3-4 October 2017 at the Orient-Institut Istanbul.  The goal of the meeting was to introduce scholars who are interested in STS in Turkey to each other.
