As part of our DFG-funded research project MediCluster, we’re organizing an internal workshop titled:“Çeliğin Çoklu Ontolojileri: Sirkülasyon, Bilgi ve Sosyo-Teknik Tahayüller” (eng. “The Multiple Ontologies of Steel: Circulation, Knowledge, and Socio-Technical Imaginaries”).

Together with colleagues and guest expert Dursun Baş (Istanbul Policy Center – Sabancı University – Stiftung Mercator Initiative), we’ll explore how steel is not only a material, but a global actor entangled in infrastructures, medical tools, situated crafts, and sociotechnical imaginations.
