The STS Meets Ethics conference was a collaborative event organized by the Turkish Scholarly Network for Science and Technology Studies (STS TÜRKİYE), METU’s Applied Ethics Research Center (UEAM), the Department of Philosophy, the Science and Technology Policy Research Center (TEKPOL), and Bilkent University Faculty of Engineering. It brought together scholars from diverse disciplines to explore the intersection of science, technology, society, and ethics, particularly in light of global challenges such as climate change, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and biomedical advancements.
The published proceedings consist of a selection of high-quality full papers from the conference, which were chosen based on their scholarly merit and thematic relevance. These papers underwent a thorough review process before inclusion in the volume. We extend our sincere gratitude to all peer reviewers for their invaluable contributions in ensuring the quality and rigor of these works.
